A collaboration between Translations Studies and Drama Studies at Queen’s University Belfast and the RESAD, Madrid, this production presents a new angle on this classic text of individual desire raging against society’s rules.
The sound of knitting needles was chosen as the main motif in the sound design of Blood Wedding. The act of knitting symbolises the recurring themes of societal opression and morality throughout the play.
